Edward Ellis in the parish of Mold on 30 November 1741 between the hours of  12 and 2 mixed arsenic with Wheatflower papes which he then gave to his wife, Anne, and she died later that day (WALES 4/1003/2).   He was also indicted with the murder of his daughter by poison.  He was ordered for execution on Monday 26 April and his body afterwards to be hanged in chains on Flint Marshes (WALES 14/85).
